Patrick T. Sweeney, M.D.
Dr. Sweeney is a graduate of Nebraska Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in biopsychology. He was a two time first team Academic All-American defensive back. Dr. Sweeney was also honored for his scholastic achievement by being named a Rhodes Scholar semi-finalist.
After graduating from medical school at the university of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, he completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Nevada School of Medicine and specialty training in Ophthalmology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and continued advanced training in refractive surgery (LASIK) and cataract surgery. Dr. Sweeney was also an active research doctor at the University Of Texas Southwestern Medical Center for three years and helped author the "Ophthalmology Chapter" of the Parkland Trauma Handbook.
Dr. Sweeney is married and the father of a daughter and son. He enjoys spending time with his family, fitness activities, football, Dallas Stars hockey, and fishing. Dr. Sweeney is also a volunteer coach in the Prestonwood Sports Organization, and Plano Sports Authority.

Dr. Sweeney is the 1ST doctor in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex to perform the Restor Intraocular Lens Implant surgery since it's FDA approval in March 2005.
Dr. Sweeney appointed by Alcon Pharmaceutical as "Mentor Physician" to other doctors for Restor IOL surgery across the US. (May 2006)

Paul J. Sietmann, O.D.
Dr. Sietmann is a therapeutic optometrist, optometric glaucoma specialist and has been practicing in Texas since 1987.
He has an extensive background in both the fields of Glaucoma and providing pre- and post-operative care for ophthalmologic surgical patients. Dr. Sietmann's professional expertise has allowed him to direct and coordinated multiple pharmacuetical studies for eye care and eye disease related products.
Sweeney Eye Associates is proud to have Dr. Sietmann's professional expertise as an optometrist and his unwavering care and concern for his patients as an addition to our medical staff.
Dr. Sietmann is the father of a daughter and a son and enjoys spending time with his family. He also looks forward to the summer months when he vacations with his children.
